The final gallops in preparation for Saturday's races were mostly of an easy nature at Randwick, where the A grass track was used for the-first time for 12 months. Gold Rod just cantered from the mile and a quarter post, while Mala went a comfortable half-mile in - Sllsec with Golden Treasure. , , ~ Marne, going -well within himself, easily beat Athenian over seven furlongs in Imin S2sec. . _ Gay Blonde easily beat Golden Gate over five furlongs in Imln 2Jsec. Cuddle (T. Webster), ridden all the way. took Imin 17sec for six furlongs. She did not finish well. Capris and Autobus together covered five furlongs in Imin 3sec. . Silver Standard and Heroic Faith did an easy five in Imin ssec. Gustos led Bobby over a mile in Imin 45&S0C* Gay Sheik led Spirits over an easy seven furlongs In lmin.36sec. Lasting beat Tuckerbox and Cyrlllian over a mile in Imin 45sec. Oro did the fastest mile, in Imin 42isec. She carried a good weight and moved attractiVely. . Happy Landing was well beaten by Verberry over nine furlongs in 2mm Queen of Song did five furlongs on the tan in Imin 2sec. At Victoria Park

Gay Lover did a very smart gallop of five furlongs in. Imin Isec, the last four In 481 sec. ' ' Brittle Prattle did five in Imin 2isec, and could have done better. Silver Ring, carrying a Viery light boy. reeled off six furtongs In Imin 14isec, a particularly satisfactory gallop. Sporting Blood also pleased, accompanying Satmoth over seven furlongs in Imin ZSisec, the first three in 37isec. Silver Jubilee .and High went together over six furlongs in Imin ISJsec, As Silver Jubilee carried a heavier boy, his work was definitely good. /
