VANCOUVER’S GOLDEN JUBILEE
FREEDOM OF CITY FOR LORD MAYOR OF LONDON
VANCOUVER,'August 19,
In a colourful replica of the Lord Mayor’s Show, the freedom of the city was conferred on the Lord Mayor of London (Sir Percy Vincent), marking Vancouver’s golden jubilee. The parade was led by a company of local “Beef Eaters.” The Corporation of Lopdon Mace was brought here specially for the occasion.
The Lord Mayor, will be the guest at the three-day gala celebrations.
