KARAMEA RIVER PROTECTION
When a telegram from Mr Furkert, formerly engineer-in-chi®*. ol the Public Works Department, saying that the Karamea river protection works and harbour improvement scheme would be continued, was under consideration at the monthly meetmg of the Duller County Council, this week, it was stated that the scheme to be adopted was that originally Pfe* pared by Mr Furkert in consultation with the county engineer-clerk <mt Vt F. Schadick). Councillors expressed SleasUre that this work was to be one, and spoke of the great benefit it would prove to the Karamea dts-. trict,
