IMPETUS TO COTTON GROWING
FACTORIES TO BE ESTABLISHED IN AUSTRALIA FREMANTLE, August 19. Mr Latham Withall, the newlyappointed secretary of the Associated Chambers of Manufacturers in Australia, who arrived from England by the Orford, said that arrangements had been made for an important group of Lancashire cotton and textile manufacturers to establish works in Australia, This would give an impetus to cotton-growing in Australia.
