EXCHANGE OF GOODS SUGGESTED
AUSTRALIAN WOOL FOR GERMAN MACHINERY • SYDNEY, August 19. The German Consul-General in Sydney (Dr. A. Asmis) is negotiating with the Sydney County Council seeking favourable consideration for bartering £500,000 worth of Australian wool in payment for expensive electrical equipment which is required for the main power house at Bunnerong. The County Council is favourably impressed with the idea on the principle that it might lead to the development of Australian primary products, and the matter will be discussed with the State Government.
