OTAGO HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS
ANNUAL MEETING OP NORTH CANTERBURY BRANCH A successful year was reported at the annua] meeting of the North Canterbury branch of the Otago High School Olv Boys’ Society, which was held yesterday afternoon. Mr W. G. Cdull, the retiring president, Was In the chair. The report mentioned the enrolment of a number of new members, and referred to successful social gatherings held during the year.' It mentioned also that Mr J. P. Northey, physical instructor of the school, had presented to the branch two photographs of Mr F. H. Campbell, for very many years a senior master at the school, who retired from the teaching staff some time ago. * Pleasure was expressed that the branch should possess photographs of such a notable fi, ure in the school’s history. The following officers were elected; -President, Dr. P. Stanley Poster; vice-presidents, Mr G. K. Buchanan, Dr. F. L. Scott, and Mr W. R. MeCallum; committee. Dr. M. K. Gray, Messrs J.'B. Mawson, E. W. White, R. W. Jack. W. G. Coull, R. E. Free, J. Y. Allan, and L. M. Aitken; honorary secretary-treasurer, Mr J. A. Bretherton. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president, Mr Coull, who extended congratulations to his successor. at the same time expressing the pleasure of the members at s Dr. Foster’s acceptance of office. A vote of thanks was also passed to Mr Bretherton for his work as secretary and treasurer. .
