MAN LOST OVERBOARD
INQUEST HELD AT AtKXUH (nutM AMocu.no? TO.TOM?.) AUCKLAND. August 19- . An Inquest was held -before Mr Wyvem Wilson as coroner* .Into tt* supposed death of George iMdflW cook of the trawler dames Cosgrove, who disappeared tram the vesuri in the Bay of Plenty on May 24. * Captain Flett said that leaden was a member ofthe crew when the vessel sailed tram Auckland on May SI. About 6.45 p.m. on May 24, when the ship was in the Bay of Plenty* It was reported to Mm'that Leaden was missing. He turned back and retraced the ship’s course for an hour and a half and ordered a search of the ship- She witness knew of no reason why Leaden should lump overboard, bat Leaden' had complained of stomach troubles. He had been cook aboard the vessel for 12 months. He was a single man. The coroner found that Leaden died when he was lost overboard, the evidence was not sufficient to show whether he fell overboard or committed suicide by drowning.
