NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS ALTERATION TO DRAW A. Duncan (Wellington) has withdrawn from the New Zealand amateur billiards championship, because of a ruling that he is a professional, and an alteration to the draw has been necessary. A. Albertson (Lyttelton), who was originally drawn to play the winner of the, game between-W. Karaitiana (Kaiapoi) and R. W. Whitford (Christchurch), will now play E. N. Stewart (Dunedin),: CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIP In the last match of the second round of the Canterbury amateur billiards championship, R. McKay (Returned Soldiers' Association) lost to E. Brown (Lyttelton) by 290 to 300. The best breaks were: McKay, 32, 17, 16, 18; Brown, 46, 53, 20, 18. 17. Mr G. Giles was referee. The next match will be between L. Morris (Kaiapoi) and R. Commons (Tramway) in the Sydenham Library.
