MACHINE GUNS USED ON TRAIN
more terrorism in PALESTINE JEWISH NURSES SHOT (Received August 18, 10.15 p.m.) JERUSALEM. August 17. One passenger was killed and nine injured when a train traversing the Jewish settlement of Tel Aviy was machine-gunned. This is the first time machine-guns have been use'd by ■civilians since the disturbances began. Two Jewish nurses in the Jaffa hospital were fired on while coming off duty. One was killed and the other seriously wounded. , She died later. An Arab was found stabbed to death on the beach at Jaffa. A third Jewish girl was shot dead while doing guard duty in the Sharon district.
