OPPOSITION TO LAND TAX
MANAWATU DEPUTATION TO MINISTER (PBKBS ASSOCIATION TILEOBXV.) PALMERSTON N., August 18. The general committee of the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association decided to forward a protest to the Minister for Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, against the increased land tax, both city and country members opposing the, new legislation. Two delegates were appointed tO"tlje Farmers’Union deputation which is to wait on the Minister on Thursday.
