Old-time Dance Mostly because of the excellent music provided by the Lyttelton’s Own Orchestra, the four-weekly old-time dance held by the committee of the Lyttelton District High School in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday night, was one of the most enjoyable held this season. In a senior medal match, played at Charteris Bay yesterday, the following were the best cards: —A. Jackson, 91, 19—72; H. Fletcher. 96, 20—76; C. Paacot, 93, 17—76; H. Derbridge 95, 18 —77; H. G, Banff eld, 99, 20—79. A junidr medal match was won by E. Hudson with 75 net. In the semi-final for the Armstrong Cup, played at Charteris Bay yesterday, A. Jackson and H, G. Banfield defeated H. Derbldge and H. Fletcher, 2 up. Jackson and Banfield will play F. H. Knights and C. H. Plimmer in the final. Lyttelton women golfers played A Stableford bogey match yesterday for a trophy presenteod by Mrs H. G. Banfield. The winner was Mrs I. Gardiner, with 29 net. Miss C. Williams, with 24 net, was the runner-up. A junior medal match was won by Mrs I. Gardiner, 111, 36—73, Miss C, Williams, HI, 26—85, handing in the second best card.
