♦ SUGGESTION ADOPTED BY BOARD A system of weekly passes for school children at reduced rates is to be given a trial by the Christchurch Tramway Board. At a meeting on Saturday the board received a letter suggesting that special passes should be issued for children during the school holidays,and it was decided that during the present holidays weekly passes should ■ be issued to primary and intermediate school pupils at a cost of 3s instead of the usual rate of ss. chairman of the board, Mr J. K. Archer, stated that the passes would be issued to children up to Standard VI.
