ELECTRICAL TRADERS’ FEDERATION

.NNXJAL CONFERENCE HELD A representative attendance of delegates from' Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin was present at the annual conference of the New Zealand Electrical Traders’ Federation, held yesterday. The president, Mr J. M. Fleming, of Wellington, was in the chair.

The annual report, which covered numerous subjects of importance to the electrical industry, was unanimously adopted. The following officers were elected: President, Mr J. M. Fleming (reelected); vice-president, Mr H. S. Lamburd (Wellington, re-elected); executive committee, Messrs J, A. C. Allum. J. F. Armitage (Auckland), C. G. Schumacher, W. U. Ross (Christchurch), C. J. Darracott, S. F. Chalmers (Dunedin, J. M. Fleming, H. S. Lamburd, W. S. Cederholm, and G. W. Waite (Wellington); advisory committee, Messrs S. Cory-Wright (Auckland Association), G. G. Callender (Canterbury Association), C, S. Stewart (Dunedin Association), J. M. Fleming (Wellington Wholesalers’ Association), and W. S. Cederholm (Wellington Contractors’ Association); honorary auditor. Mr R, J. Porter (Wellington, reelected). A tribute was paid to Mr Geor*»e Lauchlan, assistant general manager of the electricity department or me Wellington City Council, who died last week.

Votes of thanks were passed to the ‘president, the honorary auditor, members of the advisory committee, and to the Canterbury Electrical Traders’ Association for its hospitality. ’ -The next annual conference will be JieM-iaJDunedin. : <
