PARLIAMENTARY PORTRAITS
Support for the Clan Monro Association, which is being formed in Scotland, is sought in a letter that has been received by the Mayoi (Mr J. V/. Beanland). The letter, which is signed by Captain D. J. Monro, C.M.G.. R.N., of Clearwell, New Galloway, Scotland, states that no name in Scottish history is more distinguished than that of Monro. The object of the association is to provide a head for the clan, preserve and record its history, and generally act as a parent body for the welfare of clansmen. It concludes with the hope that members of the clan throughout the world will join the association and thus ensure its success.
