FAREWELL RECITAL
CHRISTCHURCH PIANIST
Charles Begg and Company's concert chamber was filled to capacity on Saturday evening, when Miss Jean McLeod. the talented young Christchurch pianist; gave a recital before leaving for England, where she will, with the advantage of a scholarship, continue her studies.
Miss McLeod's programme included works of Chopin. Bach. Rubinstein, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Saint Saens. The French suite of Bach was particularly delightful, and the Chopin Sonata in B flat minor showed true musicianship. All her numbers showed technical brilliance and artistry.
Miss McLeod was ably assisted by Mrs Gordon Morrow, soprano.
