RAILWAY DISMISSALS?
SO TSS SOWOB Of THE PB*S*.
Sir,—l should like to ask the Minister for Railways if it is true that men have lately been discharged from the Railway Department.—Yours, etc., ENQUIRER.
July 1, 1936. [The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister for Railways, supplies the following reply: “There is no truth in the suggestion that men have lately been discharged from the Railway Department. On the contrary, the policy of the Government has enabled the Railway Department to find useful work for all the employees at present on its staff, and. indeed, to some extent to increase its personnel.’’!
