LECTURES BY MR R. A. LAIDLAW
The illustrated addresses given in the Latimer Hall during the week have been the centre of great interest. The speaker, Mr R. A. Laidlaw, of Auckland, has undertaken to trace the history of the Jewish race from Abraham’s day to Malachi. Having travelled widely in Bible lands, he has taken photographs of the outstanding places and people connected with the story, and shows these as the subject is explained. Egypt, Palestine, Mesopotamia, and other parts are shown on the screen. The type o? lecture is unusual, and of great educative value. Mr Laidlaw continues this week with his subject. Sunday services, which are not illustrated, are held in the Civic Theatre.
