TIUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provision of the Rating Act. 1925, Sections 51 to 55 and others, and the Counties Act. 1920, and its amendments, that it is the intention of the Selwyn County Council, at the meeting of the Council to be held on the third day of August, 1930. to make and levy a general rate of one-half of one pennv in the pound uoon the rateable value of all rateable prooortv in the county of Selwyn, and a Hospital and Charitable Institution rate of one-fourth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Selwyn; also a special works rate for the purpose of works in connexion with the Hororata Stream of one-half of one penny in the pound upon the capital value, Vo be made and levied upon all rateable property as described in the minutes of the Council meeting held on the 2nd day of October. 1922. for the special benefit of which property the said special works are being executed, also a special rate of onetwentieth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Dunsandel Hall and Library special rating area. Such rates are for the period of one year commencing on the lat day of April. 1936. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937, to become due and payable in one sum on the 10th day of August, 1338. at the Council Chambers at Hororata, where the Valuation Rolls are now open for inspection.
