There is a birthday drawing near, And if anyone would like to hear Whose special birthday it is to be, Come, gather round and listen to me, It’s the birthday of “The Press Ship!” For it is just a year ago Since the gangway of the ship dropped low, And up on deck went all the crew — A happy crew and hearty, too. The grand crew of “The Press Ship!” Its sails are while; it glides along And on the breeze you will hear a song.
