BERLIN, June 17
Herr Hitler has appointed General Herr Heinrich Himmler, as General of the German Police, with General N. Daluege as his deputy. General Goering retains the generalship of the Prussian Police.
[Herr Himmler, a young German officer and politician, has been a member of the National Socialist party since 1925. He was formerly District Director and Reich Director of Propaganda. He is a member of the Supreme Reich leadership of the National Socialist party, Reich Leader of the Guard Troops, and a Prussian State Councillor. General Daluege has been Chief of the Berlin Police and was General and Commander-in-Chief of the all uniformed police after the “purge" of June. 1934.]
