NATIVE TREES PLANTED
SEADOWN SCHOOL COMMITTEE HOLDS MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Seadown School Committee was held, with Mr R. J. Edgar (chairman) presiding. The headmaster’s report said that an excellent attendance was being maintained since the holidays. All the dental clinic money had been paid. A number of native and introduced shrubs had been planted, and a further selection would be planted on Arbor Day, It was decided to make the usual levy on the various organisations using the school, and to draw up a set of rules, which must be observed. Ping Pong Club
The ping pong club has made a promising start this season, with a members!) in of more than 30 members. A n~w table has b°en procured and a challenge ladder drawn up. It is proposed to begin a Yankee tournament on June 23. Bible Class Club
A young people’s Bible class and club has been formed. About 20 young people having joined. Mr Ward has been appointed leader, and Miss J. Topham secretary.
