MIND OVER MATTER
ADVICE BY MR W. SHAKES-PEARE-BINKS Followers of the doctrines of Mr W. Shakespeare-Binka, visiting psychologist, filled the Radiant Hall again last night to hear the second of his return series of addresses—“ Health, Wealth, and Personality; How You May Develop Them.” . Dealing first with health Mr Sinks said that there were three strong poisons which disturbed the welfare of the body—the fatigue poison, the fear poison, and the food poison. Fatigue came because mental and physical relaxation was not practised sufficiently; fear was the result of lack of faith and optimism, and food poison was the outcome of a wrong diet, allied with a disturbed mental Sleep, one of life’s essentials, could be long, but far more important was its depth. The deep, sound sleep, enjoyed by those who ha. assimilated the scientific principles of relaxation, was really recuperative, and, strangely enough, from four to five hours was sufficient Given proper sleep, man, woman, or child could bounce out of bed like a ball from a tennis racket Properly equipped, a man or a woman should live to 120 years of age. To-night Mr Shakespeare-Binks wul speak on “The Psychology of Youthfulness: Its Mental and Physical Value.”
