The Mayor (Mr J. W. Beanland) has received a letter from Mr Gordon Glennie, New Zealand representative of the Canadian Pacific Railway, expressing appreciation of his services in presiding at the lecture recently given in Christchurch by Dr. David Lang, who came to New Zealand with the object of helping to bring the two Dominions into closer touch. The letter states that the interest Mr Beanland took in Dr. Lang’s visit contributed largely to the success of the lectures. GOLF CLUBS NEED CHROMIUM PLATING.
