GERMAN DEMAND FOR COLONIES
Return of Togoland And Gameroons HERR HITLER’S REPORTED PLANS (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.) (Received June 17, 11.35 p.m.) LONDON, June 17. The Berlin correspondent of the “News-Chronicle” says Herr Hitler will formulate Germany’s colonial demands at a special meeting of the Reichstag, the date of which will be fixed this week. It is believed that he will demand the return of Togoland and Gameroons, formerly German East Africa, but not South-west Africa, because the “German Government is anxious to maintain friendly relations with the South African Government.” The German press is now allowed freely to discuss the colonial issue.
