* MR WILLIAM WALLACE DEFEATED AUCKLAND HOSPITAL BOARD U'iiESS ASSOCIATION I'ELEUKAM.) AUCKLAND, June 16. After 18 years as chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr William Wallace was defeated for the position at the annual meeting pf the board. The Rev. W. C. Wood was elected
chairman by six votes to five. Mr Wood has been chairman of the relief committee of the board and president of the Hospital Boards’ Association.
