DRAUGHTS TOURNAMENT AT KAIAPOI
A card and draughts tournament between members of the Kaiapoi Returned Soldiers’ Association and members of the Kaiapoi Labour party, was held in the Returned Soldiers' association club-room, Hilton street, on Saturday evening, which resulted in a win for the Returned Soldiers' Association by 29 games to 20. At euchre, the Returned Soldiers’ Association won 26 games, and the Labour party 20, and at draughts, the Labour party scored three games and the Returned Soldiers' Association 1.
