Divisional Notes The usual parade of the Christchurch Ambulance invasion was held on Wednesday evening. Superintendent W. M. Palmer presiding over a good attendance of members. A vote of sympathy mu passed to the superintendent in the Ims of his brother. Mr Palmer, of Oamaru; also to Sergeant S. Rowterry. on the death of his brother-in-kw, Mr A. H. Emerson, of Halswell. When the business of the evening was concluded, the parade was handed over to the lady corps superintendent. Mrs A. E FncKer. who gave instruction in toiler bandaging. The usual weekly meeting of the New Brighton Nursing Division was held in the High School on Monday evening. Mrs E. Collard was in charge of a good attendance of members. The evening was spent in drill, marching, and first-aid practice. Public duties for the week were afterwards arranged. To gam practical experience the cadets attached to the division will detail two of their members to accompany a senior member on the hockey field each Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance at the weekly meeting of the Christchurch Horsing Division. Miss Pegler, lady iuperintendent, inspected the parade *nd detailed members for public duty. Later the division practised squad work, after which the officers took the members in first aid questions. Before’ closing the meeting officers and members offered their deepest sympathy to Mrs Wooltord on the death of her another. A very enjoyable and instructive meeting was held on Monday evening by the St Matthew’s Ambulance Division. there b* ing a moderate attendance. The division was taken by Ambulance Officer E. A. parade next Thursday evening, and will deliver a lecture. Nursing Division There was a very good attendance of members at the weekly meeting of the St Matthew’s nursing division. The lady superintendent arranged for public duty and prepared members for the church parade. Mrs Bishop took charge of the evening’s work, which consisted of an oral test and the division carried on first aid practice under the guidance of Miss Cruden and Miss Conway. A farewell social gathering was held afterwards, the guest of honour being Miss Burke, a member of the division, who will be residing in the North Island after her marriage. Mrs Bishop, Mi. 3 Conway, and Miss Cruden all expressed their sorrow at the loss of such a good member of the division, and tfristaed her future happiness. Miss Burke was then presented with a bouquet and some crystal.
