EMPLOYEES OF COUNTY COUNCILS
SEPARATE INDUSTRIAL UNION APPROVED A separate industrial union for cm* ployees of county councils was ap* proved by the Heathcote County Coun* cil at its meeting last evening. The subject was raised in a letter from the Tauranga County Council* which suggested that if a union was to be formed it should be one embrac* ing all, and only, county and should be distinct from any other union of workers in consideration oj the various works the employees had to undertake. The chairman, Cr. W. W. Scarf!, said he thought a union of the kind sot* posted was very essential. . The council agreed unanimously support, the proposal.
