BOXING
——♦ HEAVY-WEIGHT TITLE LOUIS EXPECTED TO BEAT SCUMBLING (Received June 12, 9.52 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 11. Joe Louis and Max Schmeling today practically finished the heavy work for the 10-round bout at the Yankee Stadium on June 18, at their respective training camps at Lakewood (New Jersey) and Napanoch (New York). Among boxing experts and observers there is little doubt that Louis will be the winner, but Schmeling is supremely confident and claims he is not afraid of the negro, whereas the last half-dozen fighters Louis knocked out were defeated before they entered the ring.
