HANMER SPRINGS
TO THE EDITOR OF THE FREES. Sir,—Your recent announcement about the proposed renaming of Hanraer Springs has doubtless aroused considerable interest among residents and visitors to this township. It is obvious the Hanmer Springs Progress League is endeavouring to convert tliis popular health centre into a tourist resort. At present we have the Queen Mary Hospital to thank for any advancement that has been made in Hanmer Springs; therefore it is to be hoped the Progress League will reconsider Us decision to rename Hanmer Springs Hanmer Spa.—Yours, etc., SO WHAT? June 11, 1936.
