DE CANS BEATS NICOL EASILY (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) INVERCARGIL, June 10. A light-heavy-weight boxing contest this evening between Roy de Cans (12st 21b), an American negro, and Ray Nicol (12st 6lh) was won by de Gans on points. There was a crowded audience. De Gans won practically every round. Over the second half >f the contest he scored at will, and punished Nicol heavily.
