JEWS ATTACKED IN POLAND

THOUSANDS IN FLIGHT AFTER RIOTS PROMISE TO MAINTAIN ORDER (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.) (Received June 5, 7.5 p.m.) WARSAW, June 4. . Five thousand terror-stricken Jews fled from Minsk-Mazowicki following riots in which seven were killed and 70 injured. The riots began when an insane Jew, a former soldier, shot dead an army officer whom he claimed was persecuting him to the point of insanity. The infuriated crowd attacked the Jews, smashing every window in the Jewish quarter and looting and demolishing hundreds of shops and homes. '

Troops have been called in. Jews still do not dare venture into the streets, as the situation is tense. At the same time as the antiJewish disturbance in Warsaw and elsewhere the Prime Minister (M. Koscialkowski) promised a Jewish deputation that order would be maintained.
