WEST OF ENGLAND SOCIETY
The members and friends who attended the social and dance of the West of England Society spent a most enjoyable evening. Mr P. E. L. Broad was in the chair. In his presidential remarks, he mentioned that the health of Mr A. H. Emmerson, one of the society’s vice-presidents, was giving concern to his relatives and friends. Mr Broad expressed the sympathy of members with the family. Items were contributed as follows: tap dancing. Miss Betty Graves; harmonica duet. Messrs Trevor-Smith and Baxter. During the evening prizes were won by Mr J. Bailey and Miss Doris Bryce (Monte Carlo), Mr J. Widgery and Mrs Bastion (lucky spot) and Mrs E. Commons (lucky entrance). Mr Trevor-Smith was in charge of the floor and the music was supplied by the Excelsior Dance Band.
