To date, of 52 fights, he has won 44, including a decision over W. Purdie, an Australian and New Zealand champion. Of 72 fights as an amateur, Hawes won 66, and as a professional he has been equally successful. He also has won various championship titles. At a work-out last evening he fully demonstrated his perfect condition. Richmond will arrive from tile south on Monday, having gone through a very solid preparation. This bout will be supported by six well-matched bouts of three two-minutc -rounds, and one of six two-minute rounds between "Tiger'? Mitchell and “Furio" fever end, in which considerable interest is being shown. ’ -Doors will open at 7.30 p.m., and the first contest will commence at 8 o’clock.
