UNFAIR ACTION DEPRECATED
EMPLOYERS* ATTITUDE TO LEGISLATION DEPUTATION TO PRIME MINISTER ' (press association tbleoeam.) WELLINGTON, June S. An assurance that the Employer** Federation shared wholeheartedly the Government's disapproval of any unfair action by an employer against his employees was given by a deputation from the federation which waited on the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Minister for Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong). The deputation, in a statement, deprecated any unfair action by an employer against his employees, but said that there could not fail to be cases in which some readjustment of staffs would be unavoidable. The statement concluded: “May we say that some of ;ae new legislation is, in our opinion, experimental, and we have some misgivings as to the final results, but as an organisation we ere more than willing to do our utmost to make the experiment a success.”
