“EXCELLENT FRIENDS”
SIR JAMES PARR AND LABOUR GOVERNMENT LONDON, May 29. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Sir James Parr), during a welcome to a delegation of New Zealand farmers at Thomas Cook’s, expressed the opinion that the Anglo-Dominion trade agreement should be more bilateral. “If two dominions have different tariffs against Britain it is not right that both should receive similar treatment,” he said. Referring to the Labour Government in New Zealand, Sir James said it was treating him well. “We are excellent friends,” he said.
