MAUI POMARE ARRIVES FROM NIUE The Government moto.-ship Maul Pomare arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Niue. Except for a storm which was met on the first three days out from New Zealand, the voyage was uneventful. She brought a cargo of 9000 cases of bananas, 10 tons of kumeras, and 10 tons of cocoa. McFarland, M. McCormick, Mother Rose, and Mother Pia. The Maui Pomare will leave for Wellington on Tuesday about 3 p.m. CANADIAN CONQUEROR DOCKED . A further attiempt, this time successful, was made on Saturday to dock the steamer Canadian Conqueror, and she was docked by 7 p.m. An examination showed that there was a cracked plate and several sprung rivets. It is hoped to complete the repairs and to take the steamer out of dock to-day. TANKER SOUTH AFRICA With bulk motor-spirit for the Texas Oil Company, the tanker South Africa is due at Auckland on April 16 from San Pedro She will later discharge at Wellington. TEES ARRIVES AT LYTTELTON After an uneventful trip, the steamer Tees arrived at Lyttelton from Chatham Islands at 1.10 p.m. on Saturday. She brought a cargo of fish and sheep, and will leave for Wellington to-morrow afternoon. PORT GISBORNE CLEARS ! BALBOA ! _ J The Port Line has received advice that its motor-ship Port Gisborne, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, cleared Balboa last Sunday. She is due at Auckland on April 27. ROTORUA'S LIST The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua, which reached Auckland on Thursday morning from Liverpool to the agency of the Federal Company, brought | the following passengers:— Miss M. ICEBERGS SIGHTED The Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following message from the Pakeha:—"The Waimana sighted two bergs, latitude 56.04 south, longitude 127 west." "*» GOLDEN BEAR LEAVES LOS ANGELES Advice has been received that the steamer Golden Bear left Los Angeles on April 1 for Auckland, Wellington, and Australia. She is due at Auckland on April 27. The Golden Kauri has been substituted for the Golden Bear, which was scheduled to leave Los Angeles on August 1 for New Zealand ports.
