MAUI POMARE ARRIVES FROM NIUE The Government moto.-ship Maul Pomare arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Niue. Except for a storm which was met on the first three days out from New Zealand, the voyage was uneventful. She brought a cargo of 9000 cases of bananas, 10 tons of kumeras, and 10 tons of cocoa. A further attiempt, this time successful, was made on Saturday to dock the steamer Canadian Conqueror, and she was docked by 7 p.m. An examination showed that there was a cracked plate and several sprung rivets. It is hoped to complete the repairs and to take the steamer out of dock to-day.
