A message from Wooilongong ; states that a large meeting of mem- ; bers of the Port Kembla branch of : the Ironworkers’ Union passed a resolution in favour of resuming work at the Port Kembla - steel works, on terms 'agreed to by representatives of the local citizens’ ccm- ; mittee and the Australian Iron and Steel Company. Ltd. The terms provide that the employers shall reinstate ail the strikers, including the man who refused to work overtime, and that the dispute shall be subject either to a conference between the company and the men or to direct reference to the Arbitration Commission. A mass meeting of all the unions involved in the strike will be held at the Trades Hall, Sydney, to-mor-row. when it is expected that these terms will be adopted. EXTENSION OF STRIKE CONFERENCE AT NEWCASTLE NEWCASTLE, March 30. A conference of Newcastle union officials and shop stewards yesterday heard addresses by the delegates of the combined unions which are involved in the Port Kembla ■ steelworks strike. j They endorsed the proposal for i an extension of the Port Kembla | strike to the Newcastle steelworks j and galvanised iron workshops, but j left the final decision to meetings of j members of the unions concerned, j
