COOK INLANDS' RECOVERY FROM HURRICANE
/ (PRKSS .ASSOmilOir TK^OBAU.) ; WELLINGTON, March 30. The special correspondent of the United Press Association at Rarotonga States that the Cook Islands have largely, recovered from the hurricane which caused so much damage on the islands little more than a year ago. The hillsides and foreshore, which were badly damaged by wind and salt spray, have now resumed their former appearance. , The banana crop is approaching normal for this season—due mainly to fairly heavy plantings after the hurricane. ,• The oirange season will soon be starting, but it has not yet been learnt whether the supply of. fruit will be tip to honhaL , Domestic • crops, such as taro and kumera, are'normal.
