The marriage took place recently at ttta Catholic Church, Marshland, of Francis William, son of Mr and Mrs CVF. Palmer, of Marshland, and Mary Magdalene, second daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Kiesanowski, also of Marshland. The church had been prettily decorated by friends of the bride and the church was filled with well-wishers. Father J. ;Hanrahan performed the ceremony, and also celebrated Nuptial Mass and Miss Doreen Blackburn was organist. The bride wore a trained gown of ivpry silk crepe, made with cowled neckline and diamente ornaments. The long sleeves tapered to points over the hands. The bridal veil was of white tulle, embroidered in lovers' knots and Iheld in place by a circlet of orange blossom, and her shower bouquet was of choice white and pink blossom. There were two bridesmaids—Misses .Winifred Kiesanowski (sister of the

bride), and Patricia Kiesanowski (cousin). Both wore ankle-length frocks of floral silk georgette in tones of blue and yellow, mounted on yellow. The skirts had flared side-frills and the shirred bodices had triple cape sleeves. They wore picture hats and carried bouquets in tones of blue arid yellow. As the bride left the church little Bearnadette Marsh presented her with a lucky horseshoe. , Mr Lloyd Palmer was his brother's best man. The wedding reception was held at the Savoy, the guests being received by the bride's mother, wno wore a brown jacket suit and hat to match. The bridegroom's mother wore a tailored coat over a navy crepe de chine frock and navy hat. When Mr and Mrs Prank Palmer left for their, wedding trip to, South Canterbury the bride was wearing a brown suit and hat to match. Their future home will be in Marshland. BOWMAN—PROFFITT
