LODGE MEETINGS
PRIDE OP CHRISTCHURCH TENT The usual fortnightly meeting of the Pride of Christchurch Tent was held, Bro. S. Rowberry, Chief Ruler, presiding. Two new members were initiated into the orde*. An invitation was received from mft Richmond Tent jto their anniversary dance to be held on March 19. A report oif the United Friendly Societies' Council was given by Bro. Jackson, who was re-elected as the tent's delegate on the council for the coming year. The installation of Bro. Jackson as cash steward was conducted by the chief ruler, assisted by Bro Brown as installing levite. Bro. C. H. Bascand, P.D.C.R., gave a very interesting lecture on the emblem and the unwritten work. U.P.S. CARD ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the United Friendly Societies' Card Association was held in the Ridgely Hall. Bro. R. E. Wright (president) presided. The balance-sheet showed the association to be in a good position. It was unanimous in deciding to continue with the tournpment this year, play to begin on May 7. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of Bro. W. A. Turner, who was secretary of the association for n»anv years. The following officers wer6 elected: —President Bro. C.
