NORTH BEACH PROGRESS LEAGUE
ANNUAL MEETING HELD The twenty-fifth annual meeting of the North Beach Progress League and • Beautifying Association was held in* - the Memorial Hall-last evening; wlta Mr A. Peverill presiding. The annual report said that the; ■ had been one of the. most successful . in toe history of the associatiqri. There had been only about 90 financial mem-" bers last year. A feature of the year was the splendid work of the social committee in raising £2O 10s for the. Mayor's Relief of Distress Fund,--The-important question of erection . of swimming baths had been considered. Two members had died'during the year, Mr S; S. Freeborn, who had been associated with the 'league for many years, and Mrs Franklin, wife of the honorary secretary,' and their sympathies were extended to the relatives.
The accounts showed that th% year ended with a credit balance 'of £2 Is 6d. •
