An inspection of the Conway riding of the KaHrdw* eatmty wm made on Monday by the members of the Kaikoura County Council to determine repair* to toads, culverts, groynes, and also the approach to the Cribb creek bridge, which was washed away by the big flood recently. It was decided to proceed with repairs to the Cribb creek approach in accordance with the engineer's plans, and to proceed, with Beeeaeary work at the Kowhai river, lower down, near Fern* lelgn. Works Department have had 30 wen employed on the road during the month clearing, innumerable slips and repairing general damage.
