WORK ON ASHLEY RIVER STOPBANK
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir—ln your issue of this morning it is stated in connexion with the gang of volunteer workers who were rushed to the Ashley river to increase the stop banks that these men were employees of the Rangiora County Council. This Uan error. The men were supplied by the Rangiora Borough Council and not by the county. They are not looking for any gold medals in connexion with this work, or even any pay, but it is only fair to give them credit for their willing help and not the county employees who were not Presentj-Y^J^ Town Clerk. Rangiora, March 10, 1936.
