VACANCY ON DRAINAGE BOARD
MR T. H. BUTTERFIELD NEW MEMBER Mr T. H. Butterfield, one of the Labour members of the Christchurch City Council, has been returned unopposed as member of the Christchurch Drainage Board for the Heathcote sub-district. Nominations closed at noon yesterday, and Mr Butterfield was the only candidate. The vacancy was caused by the death of Mr R. Carter, who was returned unopposed at the general election of members of the board towards the end of January.
