CANDIDATE'S CORRECTION In a statement made yesterday, Mr T. J. Maling, one of the candidates for the Christchurch Citizens' Association in the municipal by-election, said that he wished to correct an assertion he made at a f campaign meeting on Saturday evening about the association of Mr J. K. Archer with the Christchurch City Council Sinking Fund Commissioners. Mr Maling said that at the meeting he had de* clared that Mr Archer was a sinking fund commissioner for the council. But since then, he had found that he had been misinformed on the point, and that Mr Archer no longer held that position. He wished to correct any wrong impression his remark might have created.
