Sir,—l wonder if Miss Robinson, of the Women and Girls' Employment Committee, is aware that about 10 or 12 years ago Dr. Agnes Bennet, of Wellington, opened a hostel in Upland rofcd for the training of girls for domestic service. The scheme was well thought out and organised, and there was a registry office in connexion with it, but it was not a success and was eventually closed down I do not think it was the fault of the scheme, however, and it might be well for Miss. Robinson- to enquire the cause from someone in Wellington before launching out in another.— Yours, etc., V B ' v- INTERESTED. March 9,1936....
