SALVATION ARMY

HARVEST FESTIVAL The Christchurch City Corps of the Salvation Army-began its harvest festival celebrations with three services yesterday. Adjutant E, Thorne conducted the services, and he was assisted by Mrs Thorne, Captain W. Thompson, and the citadel band and songsters. The celebrations, will be continued this evening and to-morrow evening, when sales of produce will be held. A programme will be given this evening by the Woolston Band, which will be making Its first appearance after its successes at the recent Dominion contest, There will also be a musical programme to-morrow evening.
