RADIO-TELEPHONE LINK
SERVICE BETWEEN BRITAIN AND KENYA (eiUTISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, March 6. Direct radio-telephone service between Britain and Kenya was inaugurated this afternoon with the exchange of greetings. Speeches at the opening ceremony were made in London by Mr J. H. Thomas, Secretary for the Colonies, and JVlajor G. C. Tryon, Postmaster-General, and replies were received from General Sir J. A. Byrne, Governor, and Mr T. Fitzgerald, Postmaster-Gen-eral of Kenya.
