——♦ At a meeting of the committee of the Sumner Community Drama Society, Mr G, F. Allen presided. Mr Godfrey presented a statement of the accounts of the last public presentation of plays, showing a credit balance of £3 Is 9d. A report of the finances for the year was also submitted and approved. The annual report for presentation at the annual meeting was also approved. It was decided to print the annual report for general circulation. A general discussion took place on the organisation of the meetings for the new year, and it was decided further to .discuss these matters at the annual meeting. It was decided to thank the Borough Council for its offer about the use of the stage for rehearsals. The producer, Mrs Spence-Clark, reported that a full cast had been secured for the production of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in the Town Hall early In the year, and that rehearsals v'ere being held.
